Itinerary: |
Wednesday 2nd August |
We will pick you up from our designated pick-up point and make our way to Dublin Port for our morning ferry to Holyhead. After arrival in Holyhead, we will make our way to Birmingham with a stop en-route. On arrival in Birmingham, we will check into the hotel for the first of our 4 nights. (B&B). |
|
Thursday 3rd August |
After breakfast we will depart the hotel and travel to NEC to spend the day at the Festival of Quilts before returning to the hotel in the evening when your time will be free to spend as you wish. (B&B) |
Friday 4th August |
After breakfast we will again depart the hotel and travel to the NEC for another full day at the Festival of Quilts before returning to the hotel. (B&B) |
Saturday 5th August |
After breakfast we will set off for a visit to Packwood House near Warwick. The house at Packwood was first built around 1570 by the Fetherston family and was much extended and restored over 370 years to create the Tudor-style manor house seen today. It was gifted to the National Trust in 1941 by Graham Baron Ash, a local man whose wealth enabled him to transform the house into his dream Tudor home in the early twentieth century. The rooms you can see today reflect his love of tradition, collecting, conserving and entertaining. |
After your visit here we will drive to Stratford-upon-Avon where you can spend a couple of hours browsing before we return to the hotel in the late afternoon. |
NB - if anyone wishes to stay in Birmingham, they are perfectly welcome to do so but will have to make their way to the City independently. (B&B) |
Sunday 6th August |
After breakfast we will depart the hotel in Birmingham and return to Holyhead for the afternoon ferry back to Dublin. On arrival back in Dublin you will be dropped off at your original pick-up point. | Please note terms and conditions apply. |
