Itinerary: |
Sunday 27th August |
We pick you up from our designated pick-up point and travel to Dublin for the ferry to Holyhead. We depart Holyhead and continue our journey to the Birmingham area with a stop en route and check into the hotel for our overnight stay. (D, B&B) |
Monday 28th August |
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel to the City of Bath for a walking tour for 2 hours. After the walking tour there will be some free time for lunch. We continue our journey to Torquay and check into the hotel for our 4-night stay. (D, B&B) |
Tuesday 29th August |
Today’s excursion takes us through the heart of Devon with a leisurely drive across rugged Dartmoor – look out for the famous Dartmoor ponies roaming free in this lovely National Park. We soon arrive in Exeter, Devon’s capital located on the River Exe, and we have plenty of free time to explore this fine city full of character and ancient history. Exeter’s Quayside has a lovely atmosphere in which to relax and you can see the historic Customs House and other buildings dating back to Charles II. Return to the hotel. (D, B&B) |
Wednesday 30th August |
After breakfast we set off for a full day visit to the world-famous Eden Project – a truly ‘global’ garden in a breathtaking location, whose art and architecture draw inspiration from nature. The emphasis here is firmly on the environment and sustainability but Eden is also about simple pleasures enjoying tasty food, taking time to stop and smell the flowers and having a good time! Today’s visit is sure to be an unforgettable experience! Return to the hotel. (D, B&B) |
Thursday 31st August |
Today we head to Tintagel on Cornwall’s north coast, renowned for its association with the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. We see the remains of Tintagel Castle. Next, we make our way to Padstow, made famous by the TV chef, Rick Stein. Padstow is situated on the west side of the Camel Estuary and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. We spend some time here then return to the hotel passing Bodmin Moor, the famed haunt of smugglers and home of the ‘Beast of Bodmin. (D, B&B) |
Friday 1st September |
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and we set off on a full day excursion through the charming Cotswold countryside. Our route takes us to Broadway, one of the Cotswolds’ most famous villages with Elizabethan houses surrounding the village green. We continue to Birmingham area and check into the hotel for our overnight stay. (D, B&B) |
Saturday 2nd September |
We check out of the hotel and travel to Holyhead for the afternoon ferry back to Dublin. On arrival in Dublin, you will be transferred back to your original pick-up point. | Please note terms and conditions apply. |
