Monday 6 July 2020
We will pick you up at our designated pick up point and travel towards West Cork with comfort stops en-route making our way to our first stop in Kinsale – “Ireland’s Riviera” arriving at approximately 13.00hrs. Here you will have a little free time to explore this busy town - you can enjoy browsing in its many shops for gifts, crafts, paintings, locally designed fashions, art galleries, book shops or you can take time out in one of its many lovely café's for lunch or coffee and cakes. We will depart Kinsale at about 14.30hrs and move on to Clonakilty, one of Ireland’s best-known tourist destinations boasting some excellent historic and heritage attractions. Here we will visit the Model Village – a wonderful trip back in time to the 1940’s where the West Cork Railway Line was at the heart of the many communities who lived and worked along the line. Afterwards you will have a little free time to wander around the town yourself and perhaps explore some of the long list of restaurants, cafes and bars, all serving the very best of what West Cork has to offer. We will depart Clonakilty and make our way to Bantry to our hotel for the first of our 2 nights. (D, B&B)

Tuesday 7 July 2020
After a leisurely breakfast, we enjoy a scenic driver to Mizen Head – Ireland’s most south-westerly point and a dramatic and breath-taking stop on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The Mizen Vision Visitor Centre in the Keeper's House and the Engine Room, the famous Suspension Bridge, the 99 Steps and the views up the South and West Coasts combined with the exhilaration and excitement of the wild Atlantic waves. There are spectacular views on the Bridge and at the end of the peninsula and the houses have been equipped with an audio-visual room, a map and archive room; the Keeper's kitchen and bedroom have been retained and there is a bird and sea watch room. There is also a café and gift shop and there are displays on on the Fastnet Lighthouse the Geology of Mizen and a Navigational Simulator showing Mizen Head from the sea. In the early afternoon we will make our way back to the hotel travelling via Schull and Skibbereen where, time permitting, you can stop and have a browse around before returning to the hotel with time to freshen up before dinner. (D,B&B)

Wednesday 8 July 2020
We will check out of the hotel in the morning and set off to our next destination, Killarney. Our first stop of the day will be in Kenmare where you will have free time to enjoy this picturesque town which is a haven of tranquility, gourmet food and breathtaking scenery. Cradled in the heart of Kenmare Bay, the picturesque town of Kenmare is the perfect location from which to discover the South West of Ireland. From here we will continue our journey to Killarney, driving through Moll’s Gap and Ladies View where you can appreciate the stunning views over the Three Lakes of Killarney. We will stop off at Kate Kearney’s cottage and there will be plenty of photo opportunities on this leisurely drive. We will reach our destination in Killarney in the late afternoon. We will check in to the hotel and, time permitting, you may have time to have a wander into town and explore or you may just wish to relax and freshen up before dinner in the hotel. (D,B&B)
