Itinerary:

Wednesday 6 November 2024
We will pick you up from our designated pick-up points and drive up the M1 motorway towards Belfast. Our first visit will be to Hillsborough Castle. This beautiful late Georgian mansion is a working royal palace functioning as the official residence of the Royal Family when they are in Northern Ireland and it has been the home of the Secretary of State since the 1970s. You will have a 45-minute tour of the house and there will be free time for lunch and a browse in Hillsborough village. We will depart Hillsborough at approximately 15.30hrs and continue to the hotel which is on the outskirts of Belfast. You will have time to freshen up before dinner. D,B&B

Thursday 7 November 2024
After breakfast we will depart the hotel and travel to the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast City for a full day at the Knitting & Stitching Show. The Knitting & Stitching Shows pride themselves on presenting the best quality craft exhibitions in the UK. The event will include cross stitch, embroidery, knitting & crochet, dressmaking, sewing, patchwork & quilting and everything in between!
After the show, at a designated time, the coach will pick you up and return to the hotel in time for dinner. D,B&B

Friday 8 November 2024
After breakfast today we will check out of the hotel, board the coach and make the short journey to Lisburn to visit the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum. Originally a museum focusing on the local history of Lisburn and the Lagan Valley, the museum expanded in 1994 with the opening of the Irish Linen Centre. The Museum and its collections are housed in the old Market House, a late seventeenth-century building, since heavily modified. The town’s merchants sold their wares and produce and sought shelter in and around the ground floor of the building. The surrounding Market Place was first laid out in Sir Fulke Conway’s plan of the town in the 1620s, and was the later site of the city’s bustling linen market. Here weavers sold vast quantities of brown, unbleached, linen.
After our visit here and timer permitting, we will have a final stop at Sprucefield Shopping Complex for a little retail therapy before we return to Dublin and your original pick-up points.
