The hauntingly beautiful Glenveagh Castle was built in the 1870s by the Adair family. Surrounded by the famous Glenveagh Gardens, its construction in a remote mountain setting was inspired by the Victorian idyll of a romantic highland retreat. You will have a guided tour of the Castle after which you will have plenty of time after to enjoy a stroll in the Walled Gardens – and experience not to be missed. You will also be able to have lunch in the tea rooms before we depart and make our way back to Letterkenny where you can have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the town or just relax and enjoy some of the leisure facilities on offer in the hotel before dinner.
