Tuesday 29 September 2026
Today, after breakfast, we will be joined by a local guide for the day. We will depart the hotel and make our way to the picturesque village of Luss, on the shores of Loch Lomond. With its famous identical sandstone and slate cottages covered in rambling roses in the summer, the sandy beach and iconic pier, Luss village is a popular place for visitors. You will have free time to explore and have lunch before we board a boat and sail across the loch to Balmaha, (approximately 45 minutes) where the coach will meet you and we will return to Stirling taking a scenic route via Brig o’Turk and Kilmahog back to the hotel. (D,B&B)

Wednesday 30 September 2026
After breakfast this morning, we will again be joined by our guide and we will make our way to Glamis Castle - legendary setting of Macbeth and childhood home of the late Queen Mother. This is a majestic building filled with priceless artifacts and homely furnishings. You will have a tour after which you will have a little free time to explore the grounds before we board the coach. Time permitting, we may do a mini tour of Dundee on the coach before arriving at St Andrew’s. Here you will do an orientation tour on the coach and you will see the famous Royal and Ancient Clubhouse. You may wish to browse the golf speciality shops or the streets of this medieval town, home to Scotland’s oldest University. For golf enthusiasts, there is a very special museum at St Andrews, the R&A World Golf Museum, boasting one of the largest collections of golf memorabilia in the world. We will return to the hotel with time to freshen up before dinner. (D,B&B)

Thursday 1 October 2026
This morning, after breakfast, you will visit the nearby Stirling Castle - one of Scotland's most historically important sites and once a favoured residence of the Stewart kings and queens who held grand celebrations here, from christenings to coronations. It has superb sculptures and beautiful gardens. You will have a guided tour where The Castle’s infamous characters and history will be brought to life in great detail. After your visit to the Castle, the remainder of the day will be free for you to explore Stirling at your leisure. You may wish to walk the cobbled streets of the Old Town to the Wallace Monument where there are breathtaking views or visit some of the many free museums. Have lunch and just soak in the medieval atmosphere. This evening dinner will be at your leisure in one of the many pubs and restaurants of your choice. (B&B)
