Monday 18 May 20262 July
After breakfast, we will depart the hotel and travel to Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden. Kylemore has been home to the Benedictine order for many years. The dramatic landscape and iconic image of a gothic castle reflected in a Connemara Lake has made Kylemore Abbey world-famous and it is now the largest tourist attraction in the west of Ireland. After our visit to Kylemore we will make the short journey to Leenane where we will take a wonderful 90-minute cruise on Killary Fjord. This offers a great way to take in the dramatic sweep of the landscape as you pass between the Twelve Bens and the Maam Turk mountains to the South, in County Galway and the Mweelrea Mountains to the North in County Mayo, as well as the views out to the Atlantic at the mouth of the fjord. After the cruise we will return to the hotel travelling through Maam Cross back to Galway City in time to freshen up for dinner. (D,B&B)

Tuesday 19 May 2026
Today we are going to visit Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands. We will board the 10.30hrs ferry from Rossaveal and make the 45-minute crossing. On arrival, you will be taken on a 2½ hour minibus tour of the island including Dún Aonghasa Fort (entrance optional), a spectacular stone fort sited on the highest point of the cliffs (300ft) on the southern coastline. It offers an unrestricted view down along the west coast of Ireland. After the tour you will be returned to the main village of Kilronan where you can have lunch and browse around this lively village which is equipped with many of todays' modern conveniences, comfortably co-existing with traditional practices and culture. You will return to the mainland on the 16.00hrs ferry and from there be returned to the hotel in time to freshen up before dinner. (D,B&B)

Wednesday 20 May 2026
We will depart the hotel early today after breakfast and board the coach for a leisurely drive around Clare with a visit to the Aillwee Caves. From there we will continue on to the Cliffs of Moher where on a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, as well as the Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara, Loop Head to the south and the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands in Kerry. O’Brien’s Tower stands near the highest point and has served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years. After this visit we will continue on to Liscannor where, time permitting, we can stop off at the Rock Shop for a little browse or a cup of coffee before we begin the journey back to Galway and return to the hotel to relax before dinner. (D,B&B)

Thursday 21 May 2026
After a leisurely breakfast this morning we will check out of the hotel. We will spend the morning in Galway City, known as the "City of the Tribes". Today, it is a vibrant bustling harbour town with medieval origins and with a long tradition of Irish language, music, song, and dance. You might like to take a walking tour with a guide, starting in Eyre Square or you may wish to explore Quay Street or the Spanish Arch at your leisure. You could take a stroll along Salthill Promenade, or while away a relaxing couple of hours in one of the many streetside cafes, have a coffee and lunch before we depart the City at approximately 14.00hrs and start the journey back to your original pick-up point.
