ITINERARY

FRIDAY 30TH JULY
Local pick ups then we drive to Belfast and check into our hotel in the city centre. Time at leisure before dinner in the hotel. (Dinner, B&B)

SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast then we board the coach for our Belfast city tour, conducted by our Driver/Guide. The tour will take in City Hall, Great Victoria Street, East and West Belfast, the Harland and Wolf Shipyard, the Titanic Quarter, Queens University, Stormont Government Buildings and other places of interest. This afternoon we recommend you visit the new Titanic Exhibition in the Odyssey Building at the docklands, or maybe browse the multi-million pound shopping complex at the Victoria Centre. (Dinner, B&B)

SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST
A beautiful day lies ahead as we set off to explore the Antrim Coast. Our first stop is at the Norman John De Courcy Castle in Carrickfergus, then we continue up the lovely coastline through such picturesque villages and glens as Carnlough, Ballygally, Cushendall, Ballycastle, Glenarm, Glencorp and Glenballylemon where some 9000 years ago the very first
settlers arrived in Ireland. We make our way to the amazing geological treasure, the Giant’s Causeway, and watch a fascinating audiovisual presentation before taking the trip down to the causeway itself. After our visit here we head to Derry City where our Driver/Escort will show us the main sights. We return to the hotel via Northern Ireland’s highest motorway, the Glenshane Pass. (Dinner, B&B)

MONDAY 3RD AUGUST
A short drive this morning takes us to the Ecclesiastical City of Armagh. Here we visit St Patrick’s Cathedral and have time to admire the work of the famous architect Francis Johnston who designed and built the Georgian Mall and Armagh Women’s Prison – one of the city’s landmarks. After time for lunch we set off homewards to your original pick up points.
