ITINERARY
FRIDAY 9TH APRIL
We will pick you up at a designated pick up point in your local area then drive to Dublin for the ferry to Holyhead and continue to our hotel in Preston, within easy reach of the racecourse. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight. (Dinner, B&B)
SATURDAY 10TH APRIL
After a leisurely breakfast we drive to Aintree Racecourse and make our way to Tattersalls. This popular enclosure is the largest and most atmospheric enclosure at Aintree, offering an abundance of facilities, with access to the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure, in addition to the café style bars on the Red Rum lawn and around the Parade Ring. Ticket holders have access to the Irish Bar, live music in the Aintree Pavilion, tote betting and big screen viewing. The Aintree mound provides viewing of the closing stages of every race and also overlooks the famous ‘Chair’ jump. There will be a full Racecard and the Grand National itself starts at 4.15pm. So place your bets, or simply revel in the excitement – win or lose (we hope not!) you are sure to have a wonderful day. We return to the hotel after the last race and the evening is at leisure. SUNDAY 11TH APRIL
We leave the hotel after breakfast and return to Holyhead via a stop at the famous Cheshire Oaks Shopping Outlet Centre with over 250 shops and huge discounts on designer goods. After disembarking from the ferry in Dublin we will transfer you to your original pick up points. |
