SUGGESTED ITINERARY
DAY 1
After an early morning pick-up from school, drive to Dublin Port for the ferry to Holyhead. Continue to London with an hour-long refreshment stop en route. Arrive at hotel late afternoon and enjoy an early dinner, then travel by coach into Central London to meet a local guide for a late evening Walking Ghost Tour.
DAY 2
Depart after breakfast for a 2 hour city sightseeing tour with a local guide. See Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and St Paul’s Cathedral before arriving at the Tower of London for a visit. Look out for the Beefeaters and the greedy ravens! This afternoon head to famous Madame Tussauds, where presidents, fi lm and TV stars, musicians, sporting heroes and notorious criminals are immortalised in wax. After dinner, depart for your choice of West End Show.
DAY 3
Check out of the hotel and drive through the City’s ‘Square Mile’ before crossing the Thames to visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on the South Bank. An engaging and informative exhibition explores Shakespeare’s life and London at that time, and a fascinating guided tour reveals the story of the Globe’s reconstruction and gives an exciting insight into the theatre’s working life. Depart at midday for the journey to Manchester with a refreshment stop en route. Time to relax after check-in at the hotel then after dinner it’s a short drive to the Trafford Centre for an evening of bowling and entertainment, or maybe try out the new Chill Factore Snow Dome for some indoor winter sports fun, at any time of the year.
DAY 4
A leisurely morning to conclude a fun-packed weekend. Perhaps combine a visit to one of Manchester’s attractions with shopping at the Trafford Centre, or head to Roman Chester with a stop at the Cheshire Oaks Outlet Centre. The choice is yours! Finally, take the evening ferry from Holyhead to Dublin and return to school.
