SUGGESTED ITINERARY
DAY 1
Depart school by coach for an early afternoon ferry from Belfast to Stranraer. A City Tour of Belfast is included before boarding. After dinner in the city centre hotel there is the option of cinema or bowling.
DAY 2
The day begins with a Glasgow City Tour covering East and West Glasgow. Renowned for its trade and ship-building, Glasgow is famed for its industrial success. Over 8,000 Irish people fl ocked here weekly after the Great Famine of Ireland. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Transport whose collection features everything from horse-drawn carriages to fi re engines, ships, locomotives and the famous Glasgow trams. Then it’s on to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to explore its treasures from fine and decorative arts to archaeology and the natural world. After dinner this evening, head to the Trossachs for a Cruise on Loch Lomond.
DAY 3
This morning enjoy a tour of either Glasgow Celtic or Glasgow Rangers Museum. Spend the afternoon at Loudoun Castle Theme Park with thrilling rides and plenty to entertain the less adventurous too! Return to the hotel for a late dinner.
DAY 4
Today make a stop at Alloway near Ayr for a tour of the home and cottage of Robbie Burns, Scotland’s national poet. En route, experience the Electric Brae!! Depart Stranraer for the afternoon ferry to Belfast, then transfer back to school.
