ITINERARY
DAY 1
Travel to Belfast for the lunchtime fast ferry to Stranraer. En route to Edinburgh, stop in Ayrshire near the village of Mauchline to visit one of Scotland’s fi nest dairy herds. The famous red and whites are recognised for their longevity, butterfat and protein. Continue to hotel in Edinburgh.
DAY 2
Spend a full day enjoying Scotland’s showcase capital, Edinburgh. A local city guide will join the coach for a city sightseeing tour including a visit to Edinburgh Castle. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the Royal Mile, Princes Street and Edinburgh’s many famous art galleries and museums. After dinner this evening, perhaps enjoy an optional Scottish museum and cabaret show.
DAY 3
Enjoy the whole day at the Royal Highland Show, widely accepted as the best agricultural show in Britain with something for everyone - livestock, horticulture, machinery, etc. Return to hotel for dinner and evening at leisure.
DAY 4
Today we head to Perthshire for a morning visit to a large beef and arable farm near the village of Cooper Angus. In the afternoon, visit famous Scone Palace.
DAY 5
After breakfast, take a leisurely drive south to the port of Stranraer via the Heads of Ayr. Arrive in Belfast early evening with onward transfer.
