DANCING CRUISE TO NORTHERN SPAIN

ST PATRICK’S WEEK 2010

Join us on this spectacular dancing cruise to Bilbao and return with one more evening of fun, dancing, music and craic in the Hilton Hotel Newbury, England. Kavanagh Travel has secured an array of artists well known in music circles the length and breadth of Ireland and the UK. From country music, traditional and ceili, to brass, easy listening and ballads, then to round off each evening enjoy the ship’s 60s & 70s disco into the wee small hours.

ITINERARY

MONDAY 15TH MARCH

Pick-up from designated departure point at the time advised.  Please ensure you arrive at your departure point early to avoid unnecessary delays.  Transfer to Dublin or Rosslare for the ferry to Holyhead or Pembroke then continue to Portsmouth, with comfort stops en route, arriving at the Continental Ferry Port at approximately 17.30hrs.  On arrival, you will take your own luggage into the Terminal Building (our coach does not travel with us to Spain) and check in at the P&O check-in desk.  At this point you will be given your cabin key/boarding pass and will need to show your passport.  You will then be taken by P&O bus to board the Pride of Bilbao.

Dinner is served immediately after boarding, in the Four Seasons Carvery Restaurant located on Deck 7 at the forward end of the ship.  After dinner, take your seats in The Show Bar, located at the rear end of Deck 7, for tonight’s entertainment:

21:00hrs – It’s Showtime – Magic of the Musicals.  The P&O Players perform some great hits from stage and screen, including Joseph and his amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Oliver, Cabaret and many more.

22.30-00.30hrs – Trevor Moyles and his band bring you a great mix of country and rock ‘n’ roll.

01.30hrs – D.I.S.C.O. with the Ship’s resident DJ.

 

TUESDAY 16TH MARCH

Enjoy breakfast in the Four Seasons Restaurant then today’s on-board programme is as follows:

08.00hrs – Morning Brainteasers – Grab a brainteaser from reception.  The answers will be given out at Pride FM.

11.00hrs – Pride FM – Come to the Show Bar to find out what’s happening around the Ship and get your answers to the brainteaser.  This activitity includes a Statutory Safety Demonstration.

11.30-12.30hrs – Barry Doyle and his band perform in the Show Bar.

13.30-13.55hrs – Bingo Ticket Sales for a chance to win a cash prize.  The game begins at 14.15hrs in the Show Bar.

14.00-15.30hrs – Michael Cleary & Breege Kelly perform in The Pub on Deck 7.

14.30hrs – Video Horse Racing in the Show Bar.  Up to 5 races will be shown on the big screen – pick a winner and walk off with the cash.

16.00-18.30hrs – Danny Webster’s Irish Ceili Time in the Show Bar.

19.30-19.55hrs – Bingo Ticket Sales for a chance to win a cash prize.  The game begins at 20.15hrs in the Show Bar.

20.30hrs – Dolphin Raffle – the Ship’s wildlife officer will be doing a raffle for the onboard charity BDRP.

20.30-21.45hrs – Trevor Dixon and Ann Moore perform in The Pub.

21.00hrs – It’s Showtime – Pure Imagination – the P&O Players take you on a journey through some of the biggest current blockbuster musicals, with excerpts from Dream Girls, Hairspray, Wicked and many more.

22.00-23.00hrs – Barry Doyle Duo with Billy McFarland in the Show Bar.

23.15-00.30hrs – Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis with their big band sound in the Show Bar.

00.30hrs – D.I.S.C.O. – take to the dance floor with the resident DJ.

 

WEDNESDAY 17TH MARCH – ST. PATRICK’S DAY

After breakfast, disembark at 08.00hrs for Kavanagh Travel’s 4-hour tour of Bilbao by coach, with a local guide, returning at 12 noon.

12.30hrs – Pride FM – Come to the Show Bar to find out what’s happening around the Ship.  This activitity includes a Statutory Safety Demonstration.

13.30-13.55hrs – Bingo Ticket Sales for a chance to win a cash prize.  The game begins at 14.15hrs in the Show Bar.

15.00-16.00hrs – Danny Webster’s St Patrick’s Ceili in the Show Bar or
Michael Cleary & Breege Kelly in The Pub on Deck 7.

16.15-17.30hrs – Trevor Dixon & Billy McFarland with Barry Doyle in the Show Bar.

18.30-18.55hrs – Bingo Ticket Sales for a chance to win a cash prize.  The game begins at 19.15hrs in the Show Bar.

20.00hrs – It’s Showtime – Rockin’ All Over The World – the P&O Players take you around the world with their new show for 2010.

21.30-22.30hrs – Trevor Moyles and his band in the Show Bar.

22.45-00.30hrs – Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis with their band in the Show Bar.

00.30hrs – D.I.S.C.O. – take to the dance floor with the resident DJ.

 

THURSDAY 18TH MARCH

10.30hrs – Pride FM – Come to the Show Bar to find out what’s happening around the Ship as we head back to Portsmouth.

11.00-12.30hrs – Barry Doyle, Trevor Dixon, Ann Moore and Billy McFarland in the Show Bar.

13.30-13.55hrs – Bingo Ticket Sales for a chance to win a cash prize.  The game begins at 14.15hrs in the Show Bar.

14.45-16.30hrs – Trevor Moyles and his band and Thomas Maguire & Fhiona Ennis perform in the Show Bar.

The Ship is due to dock in Portsmouth at 18.30hrs and after disembarkation, reboard your Kavanagh Travel coach for the journey to the Hilton Hotel in Newbury.  Dinner will be served at 20.00hrs followed by music in the bar with Barry Doyle and Danny Webster.

 

FRIDAY 19TH MARCH

Check out of the hotel at 08.15hrs and drive to Holyhead or Pembroke for the return ferry to Dublin or Rosslare and immediate transfer to your original pick-up point.

 

SOME IMPORTANT NOTES:

All times on board ship are UK times.

The schedule of activities and entertainment is subject to change without prior notice.

The preferred currency on board is Sterling, although Euros are accepted.  Sterling gives better value for money on board so it would be a good idea to bring some with you.
