ITINERARY
SUNDAY 14TH NOVEMBER
Local pick ups by luxury coach then transfer to Dublin Port for the 08.05hrs ferry to Holyhead. Continue across the Pennines to Hull and board the overnight cruise ferry to Rotterdam, with en-suite cabins, dinner, breakfast and entertainment on board.
MONDAY 15TH NOVEMBER
After disembarking in Rotterdam early morning, drive across The Netherlands and into Germany to visit a modern beef farm near Osnabruck, which specialises in fattening (once calvers) cow heifers from the local dairy herds. After the visit, continue to the Best Western Hotel Bonneberg for a three-night stay. Dinner will be served in the hotel this evening.
TUESDAY 16TH NOVEMBER
After breakfast in the hotel, travel to EuroTier - the world’s top event for professional animal farmers. EuroTier is held at the largest exhibition grounds on earth, in Hanover, and this year the programme covers all segments of the industry from cattle, pig, sheep and poultry farming, through bioenergy, right up to aquaculture. It is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends and innovations in the areas of animal husbandry, management and services. After a full day at the event, return to the hotel for dinner.
WEDNESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER
Depart after breakfast for a second full day at EuroTier, returning to the hotel in time for dinner this evening.
THURSDAY 18TH NOVEMBER
Check out of the hotel and return through The Netherlands with a visit to a beef farm at Apeldoorn, fattening calves, sourced from local dairy herds and dairy farms from Ireland, to beef in intensive systems. Following the visit, return to Rotterdam to board the overnight cruise ferry with cabins, dinner, breakfast and entertainment on board.
FRIDAY 19TH NOVEMBER
Disembark at Hull at 08.30hrs then return to Holyhead to catch the 14.10hrs ferry to Dublin, arriving at 17.20hrs. Transfers back to original pick up points immediately after disembarkation. |
