ERNEST DOE 50TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW IN ESSEX SOLD OUT - SOLD OUT - SOLD OUT

Britain’s largest working demonstration of new, vintage and construction equipment on one site, with an exclusive visit to the John Deere headquarters at Langar. Staged under the crisp blue February skies, the Ernest Doe Show annually draws over 10,000 people. 2010 is the 50th Anniversary of the show, so there are some very special attractions lined up to make it a truly memorable experience. The site is located on 400 acres of light, free-draining soil which makes it the perfect base for the demonstrations. The demonstration plots show both tractors and implements, displaying today’s very latest technology beside techniques from “yesteryear”. There is a special line up of tractors through the ages, from decades covering the 1920s to the 1980s, as well as a special line up of Triple Doe tractors based on Fordson Majors, Ford 5000s and 7000s. Ernest Doe, now Britain’s largest Ford New Holland agent, was the original brainchild behind this renowned articulated tractor.

At this huge event companies such as Case, Ford New Holland, Reekie, Dowdeswell, Knverland, Kuhn and horticultural equipment manufacturers, along with their well-trained sales
teams, show off all their products in a working environment. There is also plenty to see in the shop-soiled machinery section, not to mention the bargain “Steptoe” stand. A large display of grass-care equipment caters for the gardeners and groundsmen with machinery to handle everything from the smallest handkerchief lawn to the largest municipal golf course. Amongst the biggest features are the ongoing demonstrations
of new construction equipment from Hyundai and JCB Diggers & Equipment. The star of the show will undoubtedly be Britain’s no. 1 digger driver, Doug Potter, performing his tricks. Our tour will be concluded with a visit to the John Deere headquarters at Langar in Nottinghamshire, including a presentation and talk about their machinery, visits to the parts department and training school and lunch.
